SAP Platform Engineer

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced SAP Basis Consultant with strong expertise in SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) to support and evolve our SAP landscape. You will play a key role in system administration, cloud integration, and platform optimization, working closely with functional, development, and infrastructure teams.

This role is ideal for a technically strong SAP professional who enjoys working in modern hybrid and cloud-based SAP environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer, monitor, and maintain SAP systems (ECC, S/4HANA, BW, Solution Manager)

• Design, configure, and support SAP BTP environments (Cloud Foundry, Kyma, Subaccounts)

• Manage system installations, upgrades, patches, kernel updates, and transports

• Ensure high availability, performance tuning, and system security

• Support SAP landscape architecture across on-premise and cloud environments

• Integrate SAP BTP services with S/4HANA and other SAP/non-SAP systems

• Manage user administration, roles, and authorizations

• Monitor interfaces, jobs, background processing, and system health

• Collaborate with development teams on CI/CD, DevOps, and transport strategies

• Support audits, compliance, and disaster recovery planning

Required Skills & Experience

• Proven experience as an SAP Basis Consultant

• Strong hands-on experience with SAP BTP

• Solid knowledge of SAP S/4HANA architecture and administration

• Experience with SAP Cloud Connector

• Familiarity with SAP HANA administration and performance tuning

• Knowledge of SAP security, roles, and authorizations

• Experience in hybrid (on-prem + cloud) SAP landscapes

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Nice to Have

• SAP BTP certification(s)

• Experience with SAP Integration Suite

• Knowledge of DevOps tools and automation (e.g. CI/CD pipelines)

• Exposure to hyperscalers (AWS, Azure, or GCP)

• Experience with SAP Fiori and UI technologies
