SAP BW Consultant

EnergizeSAP is searching for an in-house SAP BW Consultant to join an established international manufacturing organisation and play a key role in the development of its enterprise-wide data and analytics landscape.

As a Senior SAP BW Consultant, you will combine your extensive SAP BW expertise with experience in modern architectures. You will help drive the transformation from traditional SAP Business Warehouse environments towards a scalable, future-ready data platform, working with technologies such as SAP Business Data Cloud and Databricks.

This is an opportunity to take technical ownership, influence architectural decisions and lead complex data and analytics projects from initial concept through to implementation.
 

Your Responsibilities

• Take responsibility for the operation, maintenance and further development of the existing SAP BW environment.

• Drive the transformation towards a modern architecture, using SAP Business Data Cloud and/or Databricks.

• Translate business requirements and analytical use cases into scalable data models and data products.

• Design, develop and implement end-to-end data pipelines, covering the entire process from data ingestion through to final data products.

• Play a leading role in establishing and continuously developing the organisation\'s central Data Lakehouse platform.

• Lead and technically deliver complex BI and analytics projects in collaboration with business departments, IT teams and senior stakeholders.

• Define architectural standards and ensure data solutions are scalable, high-performing and reliable.

• Take responsibility for project teams, with the opportunity to develop further into a leadership position.

Your Profile

• Degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics or a comparable qualification.

• Several years of experience as a SAP Consultant, with extensive knowledge of data warehouse and data lakehouse architectures.

• Strong technical expertise in the SAP BW backend, particularly BW 7.50 on HANA.

• Good understanding of SAP ECC and S/4HANA data structures.

• Practical experience designing and operating modern Data Lakehouse architectures using Databricks and/or SAP Business Data Cloud.

• Experience across the full data lifecycle, from ingestion through to curated data products.

• Knowledge of AI-supported technologies and their application within ETL processes.

• Strong understanding of data modelling concepts, such as Star Schema and Data Vault.

• Excellent architectural thinking and the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

• Independent, structured and solution-oriented working style.

• Strong initiative, communication skills and team mentality.

• Excellent German and English skills (C1 or above).
