SAP Basis Consultant / SAP Basis Architect

We are supporting a well-established German organisation with the appointment of an experienced SAP Basis professional to help shape and further develop its SAP environment.

This is a broad technical role combining SAP Basis, architecture, integration and ongoing system optimisation. You will work across projects and day-to-day operations, acting as a technical point of contact and helping ensure the SAP landscape remains stable, scalable and fit for future requirements.

Your Responsibilities

• Provide technical SAP Basis expertise across projects and initiatives
• Define the technical setup and requirements for SAP environments
• Support the integration of SAP applications and modules
• Develop concepts and technical specifications for external SAP and infrastructure providers
• Contribute to the implementation of SAP BTP and ALM capabilities
• Help shape application access and authorisation structures
• Monitor SAP systems and key performance indicators
• Identify and investigate technical performance issues and system bottlenecks
• Work closely with external application support and infrastructure teams
• Contribute to the ongoing development of the SAP architecture and system landscape
• Support SAP-related processes and ensure reliable day-to-day system operations

Your Background

• Degree in Informatics, Business Informatics, IT or a comparable technical qualification
• Alternatively, relevant vocational IT training combined with several years of professional experience
• Strong practical experience working with SAP systems and products
• Solid knowledge and hands-on experience in SAP Basis
• Experience working in a consulting, technical advisory or in-house SAP environment
• Strong ability to communicate technical subjects clearly to both IT and non-IT stakeholders
• Interest in new SAP technologies and the continuous development of SAP landscapes
• Confident communication style with the ability to take ownership of technical topics
• Reliable, adaptable and committed approach to your work
