IT Specialist – SAP / ABAP Developer (f/m/d)

Department: IT – Back Office Systems for Development Programs

Your Role:

Our organization uses a SAP-based core application for managing its development programs. This solution combines SAP standard modules (Business Partner and Loan Management) with a custom-built interface and numerous proprietary functions. Upcoming key initiatives include migration to an S/4 HANA environment and further integration with web-based systems.

We are expanding our development team that maintains and enhances this central application. The work involves ABAP and ABAP OO programming. You’ll play a key role in both daily operations and larger projects, particularly in areas related to loan management, interface development, and proprietary system components.

Your Main Tasks:

• Develop and coordinate IT implementation concepts using object-oriented and domain-driven design principles

• Perform technical development using ABAP and ABAP OO

• Plan, execute, and oversee testing (unit, functional, module, system, integration)

• Support system deployment and production operations

• Oversee and maintain technical aspects of application operations

• Perform troubleshooting and issue resolution

• Maintain technical system documentation

What You Bring:

• A degree in computer science, business informatics, or comparable qualification/training

• Solid theoretical and practical understanding of data modeling and programming (procedural and object-oriented)

• Experience in SAP application development using ABAP and ABAP OO

• Familiarity with SAP ERP systems, particularly the Loan Management module

• A proactive, independent mindset, strong analytical and abstract thinking skills, and effective communication abilities

• Fluency in German (minimum C1 level) and good command of English (spoken and written)
