Programme Delivery Manager

Energize is seeking an experienced Programme Delivery Manager to lead and oversee the successful delivery of complex, large-scale development projects within cloud environments. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in DevOps practices, cloud infrastructure, and Agile methodologies, with a proven track record of managing multidisciplinary teams and driving innovative delivery solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Standardize and Automate CI/CD Pipelines: Develop and codify standardized CI/CD templates integrating automated quality gates, comprehensive test stages (unit, integration, end-to-end), and security checks to ensure reliable and secure software delivery.

• Leverage AI Capabilities: Incorporate AI-assisted features such as code generation, automated test authoring, and defect summarization into development workflows, establishing clear guidelines and guardrails to maximize value and maintain control.

• Implement Progressive Delivery: Introduce and manage advanced deployment strategies such as feature flags, canary releases, blue/green deployments, and trunk-based development workflows to minimize risk and accelerate release cycles.

• Drive Workflow Optimization: Conduct targeted workshops to review and improve existing Jira workflows and pipeline definitions. Document key changes and track adoption metrics via dashboards to ensure continuous improvement.

• Manage Complex Development Projects: Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of large-scale development initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and timely delivery.

• Oversee Cloud Infrastructure Operations: Provide expertise in large cloud platforms, including private and public clouds. Oversee environment setup, infrastructure automation, and secure operations to support development and deployment processes.

• Enhance Observability and Customer Experience: Implement and optimize observability solutions, monitor system performance, and foster improvements to enhance overall customer satisfaction.

• Technical Leadership in Containerization and DevOps: Guide teams in the adoption of Kubernetes, containerization, DevOps best practices, and IAM/RBAC principles, ensuring robust security and operational efficiency.

• Utilize Project Management Tools Effectively: Leverage Jira, Confluence, and other tools for tracking progress, documenting processes, and facilitating cross-functional collaboration.

• Advance Test Automation and Infrastructure Automation: Promote the development and integration of automated testing frameworks within CI/CD pipelines and support infrastructure automation initiatives.

• Support Cloud Environment Development: Contribute to the building and management of private and public cloud infrastructures, applying best practices for scalability, reliability, and security.

• Promote Agile and Scrum Methodologies: Foster an agile mindset within teams, facilitating sprint planning, retrospectives, and continuous delivery practices to accelerate innovation.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Proven experience managing complex development projects in cloud and hybrid environments.

• Deep expertise in cloud platforms, including private clouds and large-scale public cloud providers.

• Strong knowledge of DevOps practices, containerization (Kubernetes), infrastructure automation, and observability tools.

• Experience with implementing progressive delivery methods, feature management, and trunk-based development.

• Proficiency with project management and documentation tools such as Jira and Confluence.

• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools and their integration into workflows is a plus.

• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

• Deep understanding of software development lifecycle, Agile methodologies, and cloud security principles.
