Working model: Hybrid – minimum 2 days onsite per week

We are working with an established international manufacturing group headquartered in North Rhine-Westphalia.
The company employs over 1,000 people internationally and operates multiple production sites across Europe, alongside a wider international sales network. As a long-established, independently owned business, it combines the stability of a successful industrial organisation with continued investment in technology, automation and digitalisation.
As part of this investment, the company is expanding its Digitalisation & IT function and developing a dedicated Digital Transformation capability.
They are now looking for an experienced M365 Engineer to play a key role in the continued development of their Microsoft 365 environment.
The Opportunity
This is much broader than a traditional Microsoft 365 administration position.
You’ll combine hands-on M365 expertise with automation, governance, project delivery and user adoption, helping different areas of the business improve how they collaborate and work digitally.
You’ll have the opportunity to influence how Microsoft 365 is used across the organisation rather than simply maintaining an established environment.
With the wider Digital Transformation function continuing to grow, there will also be opportunities to work with technologies such as Microsoft Copilot, AI and intelligent automation.
Your Responsibilities

Develop and support the company\'s Microsoft 365 environment, with a particular focus on:

Microsoft Teams

SharePoint Online

OneDrive

Power Automate

Design and implement modern solutions around collaboration, communication and document management.

Analyse existing business processes and identify opportunities for digitalisation and automation.

Build solutions using Power Automate to streamline manual processes and improve efficiency.

Contribute to M365 governance, security and compliance, including information protection, data classification and policies.

Work with Microsoft Purview to support governance and compliance requirements.

Gather requirements directly from business departments and translate them into effective technical solutions.

Support M365 rollouts, user training and adoption initiatives.

Independently plan and deliver Microsoft 365 projects and rollouts.

Coordinate with external Microsoft partners and service providers to ensure successful project delivery.

Contribute to future initiatives involving Microsoft Copilot, AI and intelligent workplace solutions.
Your Profile

Several years of professional experience within Microsoft 365 environments.

Strong hands-on knowledge of Microsoft Teams, SharePoint Online and OneDrive.

Experience with Power Automate and process automation.

Understanding of Microsoft 365 governance, security and compliance.

Ideally, experience working with Microsoft Purview.

Experience gathering technical requirements and working directly with business stakeholders.

Comfortable taking responsibility for M365 projects and rollouts.

Experience with user adoption, training or change initiatives would be beneficial.

Interest in emerging Microsoft technologies, particularly Copilot and AI.

Independent, structured and solution-oriented working style.

Strong communication skills across both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Fluent German at C1 level is mandatory.

Valid permission to work in Germany.

Willingness to work at least 2 days per week onsite in East Westphalia.
