Solution Lead – AI Platform / Azure Infrastructure

Location: Europe – flexible / remote
Salary: €100,000–€120,000 depending on location and experience
Team: Approx. 10 people across EMEA & North America
Language: Fluent English
Travel: Approx. 2–3 trips per month, primarily within EMEA with occasional US travel

The Opportunity

A large international technology organisation is looking for an experienced Solution Lead – AI Platform / Azure Infrastructure to lead a distributed technical team across EMEA and North America.

The organisation is making a significant investment in its Microsoft cloud and AI capabilities following a sustained period of strong growth.

This is not a purely hands-on Azure engineering position.

The role combines technical leadership, Azure Infrastructure expertise, people leadership and solution strategy, with responsibility for an international team of approximately 10 technical specialists.

You will play a key role in shaping how Azure Infrastructure and AI Platform capabilities are developed and delivered across multiple international markets.

Your Responsibilities

• Lead an international technical team of approximately 10 people across EMEA and North America.
• Provide technical and solution leadership across Azure Infrastructure / AI Platform.
• Guide the design and delivery of scalable Microsoft cloud solutions.
• Establish consistent technical standards and approaches across multiple markets.
• Support and challenge experienced cloud specialists on architecture and solution decisions.
• Translate complex business and technical requirements into practical solution approaches.
• Bridge the gap between solution architecture, consultancy and successful technical delivery.
• Develop and improve the team\'s technical capabilities.
• Work closely with senior technical, commercial and business stakeholders.
• Collaborate with teams across multiple countries and regions.
• Support the development of solutions that can be standardised and delivered at scale.
• Build strong relationships across the wider Microsoft partner ecosystem.

Your Profile

You will combine strong Microsoft Azure Infrastructure expertise with the ability to lead experienced technical professionals in an international environment.

Ideally, you will bring:

• Strong professional experience with Microsoft Azure Infrastructure.
• Experience leading technical teams, architects or senior cloud specialists.
• Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure architecture and solution delivery.
• Experience within an international or multi-country organisation.
• Ability to operate between technical architecture, solution strategy and people leadership.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Experience working with geographically distributed/virtual teams.
• Good understanding of the wider Microsoft ecosystem.
• Fluent professional English.
• Willingness to travel approximately 2–3 times per month.

Previous experience working directly within Microsoft or a major Microsoft partner ecosystem would be particularly relevant.

A career that started within traditional Windows Server / infrastructure engineering before progressing into Azure, cloud architecture and technical leadership would also provide a strong foundation for the position.

Travel & Working Model

The final package will depend on experience, seniority and country of employment.
