The Role
Seeking a Robotics Software Developer to build and scale the core software systems that power a fleet of autonomous robots in the field.
This role sits at the center of the ecosystem, spanning on-robot software, cloud connectivity, and mission control systems. You’ll play a key role in ensuring reliable communication, performance, and scalability across deployed robotic platforms.
What You’ll Do
- Design and develop software infrastructure for device management, mission control, and fleet coordination
- Build systems to plan, execute, and monitor autonomous missions
- Develop interfaces and protocols for configuring and managing robotic devices
- Integrate cloud services for data storage, monitoring, and analytics
- Enable reliable, low-latency communication between robots and cloud systems
- Optimize systems for real-time performance, scalability, and reliability
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams across robotics, product, and field operations
- Contribute to system architecture, APIs, and technical documentation
What We’re Looking For
- 2+ years of experience in robotics software development
- Strong programming skills in C++ and/or Python
- Experience with robotic systems (ROS or ROS 2)
- Understanding of real-time systems and multi-threaded programming
- Familiarity with Docker and modern deployment workflows
- Experience with version control and development tools (e.g. Git)
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Nice to Have
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g. Amazon Web Services)
- Exposure to REST APIs and distributed systems
- Experience deploying robotic systems in real-world environments (construction, industrial, etc.)
