SAP IBP Solution Architect – 6-Month Contract
I’m working on a 6-month SAP IBP Solution Architect opportunity with a food manufacturing client in the Midwest. This is a Systems Integrator-led project, and they’re looking for someone who can take ownership of the overall IBP initiative.
The quick overview:
Role: SAP IBP Solution Architect
Duration: 6 months initially
Location: Midwest — 50% travel required
Travel expenses: Paid
Start: Approximately 2 weeks
Industry: Food Manufacturing
Role level: Architect
What they\'re looking for
They need someone who is very well-rounded across SAP IBP, not someone who specializes in just Demand or Supply.
You\'ll be responsible for:
Leading the overall IBP solution and strategy from the SI side
Guiding the customer and making recommendations around IBP best practices
Working directly with the customer\'s business and supply chain teams
Designing the overall IBP solution and architecture
Covering the different IBP capabilities, including Demand, Supply, S&OP, Inventory Optimization, Response & Supply/OBP, Demand Sensing, etc.
Working closely with the S/4HANA team on the IBP integration and rollout
Leading solution discussions and workshops with the customer
Helping guide the implementation team
Getting hands-on with configuration/troubleshooting when needed — this isn\'t a purely strategic architecture role
Project background
The customer has already completed an S/4HANA RISE implementation for one plant and is now rolling S/4HANA out to their other plants.
The IBP Architect will be coming in at this stage to help define and lead the overall IBP initiative alongside the S/4HANA rollout.
What matters most
The client specifically emphasized that they want someone who:
Has broad experience across the IBP platform
Can operate at the Solution Architect level
Can confidently advise and guide the customer
Has strong business-facing/customer communication skills
Is still willing to get their hands dirty technically when necessary
Has experience with S/4HANA + IBP
Is comfortable with 50% Midwest travel
In short: They\'re looking for a senior, customer-facing SAP IBP Architect who can own the IBP strategy, advise the business, lead the solution, and jump into the details when needed.
