SAP Authorizations Consultant

My client are a well established, family-owned manufacturing & engineering company based near Hanau. They specialize and supply high-quality products to major companies in the Pharmaceutical, Energy and Healthcare sector.

They operate internationally and are looking for a new Inhouse SAP Authorizations Consultant to join their growing team and support their global SAP projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain SAP authorization and role concepts across the SAP landscape (ECC or S/4HANA depending on client).
• Analyse business requirements and translate them into secure and scalable authorization solutions.
• Manage user access, role assignments, and permission changes in line with internal security policies.
• Conduct authorization troubleshooting, incident resolution, and root-cause analysis.
• Support audits, compliance checks, and documentation of authorization processes.
• Collaborate closely with functional and technical teams to ensure smooth integration of authorization concepts.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and security best practices.

• Several years of hands-on experience in SAP Authorizations / SAP Security / SAP Permissions.
• Strong knowledge of SAP role design, user administration, and authorization troubleshooting.
• Experience with one or more modules (e.g., FI, CO, MM, SD, PM, HR, BW) is beneficial.
• Familiarity with compliance frameworks (e.g., SoD, audit requirements) is an advantage.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment while collaborating with global teams.
• Strong communication skills and a proactive, solution-oriented mindset.
• Fluent English; additional languages are a plus.
