IT Business Unit Leader - SAP

What You Will Do:

• Provide technical leadership and strategic direction for the IT team (approx. 10 employees), focusing on SAP support, projects, business applications, and infrastructure.
• Foster employee development through coaching and modern training methods, building a high-performance team.
• Develop and execute the IT strategy aligned with corporate and group standards, overseeing planning, implementation, and ongoing performance monitoring.
• Lead make-or-buy project decisions, coordinate implementation with management, and evaluate IT hardware and software solutions.
• Conduct technology trend analyses, feasibility studies, and investment planning, ensuring the continuous evolution of our IT landscape.
• Optimize internal processes to enhance efficiency, ensuring seamless cross-site IT connectivity (national & international) and continuous SAP support.
• Manage IT reporting, ensure compliance with group IT security policies, and uphold standards aligned with our sustainability commitments.

What You Bring:

• Completed degree in computer science, business informatics, or a comparable field.
• Several years of leadership experience in IT management within an international context or extensive consulting experience with a strong implementation background.
• Deep knowledge of SAP, MS Project, Microsoft Office, and IT infrastructure.
• Proven ability to inspire and motivate teams with natural authority and inclusive leadership style.
• Strong strategic, conceptual, and implementation skills; excellent analytical and solution-oriented mindset.
• Resilience, high self-motivation, and the ability to work independently while balancing qualitative and economic demands.
• Experience working across diverse cultures in an international environment.
• Fluent in German and English, with excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.

Preferred Extras:

• Prior experience leading large IT projects or digital transformation initiatives.
• Knowledge of group standards and experience in a manufacturing or automotive supplier environment.
