The opportunity
An established international technology business is looking for a C# developer to help build a new Identity and Access Management component for its software products.
You’ll work on authentication, authorisation and user management functionality, creating a reusable solution that can support multiple applications.
This is a largely greenfield opportunity with early proof-of-concept work already available and experienced colleagues to support you. You’ll join an established development team and work closely with the first project adopting the component.
What you’ll do
-
Develop reusable identity and access management functionality using C#/.NET.
-
Integrate authentication and authorisation into desktop and web applications.
-
Work with modern authentication standards, including OAuth 2.0 and OpenID Connect.
-
Design clear interfaces with supporting tests and documentation.
-
Gather requirements from developers and project stakeholders.
-
Support integration across applications and extend the component as new requirements emerge.
-
Contribute to wider software development projects as your responsibilities develop.
The initial focus is expected to be IAM development for approximately 12–18 months, with scope to broaden into other projects over time.
What you’ll bring
-
At least three years of software development experience, with strong C#/.NET skills.
-
Experience implementing authentication or identity-related functionality.
-
A good understanding of maintainable code and software design.
-
Confidence discussing requirements and explaining technical decisions.
-
Strong German communication skills, ideally C1 or above, and English at least B2.
-
A degree in Computer Science or a comparable qualification.
Useful additional experience
-
OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect or identity providers such as Keycloak.
-
ASP.NET Core, REST APIs or Docker.
-
WPF, Blazor or other front-end technologies.
-
Designing reusable components or NuGet packages.
-
Working on complex desktop, web or client applications.
WPF experience is welcome but not essential. There is scope to learn it as you become involved in wider development work.
What’s on offer
-
€80,000 annual salary.
-
A 38.5-hour working week.
-
Hybrid working with onsite collaboration on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
-
30 days’ annual leave.
-
Flexible working hours and overtime compensation arrangements.
-
Structured onboarding and ongoing training.
-
Company pension, bike leasing and accident insurance.
-
A modern .NET environment with internally hosted AI development tools.
-
Long-term development opportunities within an international software business.
You’ll suit this role if you enjoy understanding technical problems, building reusable software and working closely with colleagues to turn requirements into practical solutions.
