Sales Solutions Architecture Team Overview:
Sales Solution Architects partner with Sales Representatives and serve as their technical counterparts throughout the sales lifecycle. From evangelizing technologies to demonstrating cloud platforms, the team helps customers solve cloud initiatives by taking a consultative approach. Solutions are designed with reliability, performance, and security built-in. Team members design systems that are purpose-built and suited to target infrastructure.
Role Overview – Senior AWS Solutions Architect:

Represent the technical expertise of the company and act as a trusted advisor to customers in the sales process

Provide pre-sales technical support to drive revenue and cloud adoption

Conduct full technical discovery and assessment workshops, including Well-Architected Reviews, Migration Readiness Assessments, TCO analysis, etc.

Consult with prospects and architect solutions aligned with customer requirements using Well-Architected Framework methodology

Produce cost and labor estimates and Statements of Work (SOWs) for potential projects

Collaborate on creation of technical collateral, pitch materials, and reference architectures

Provide technical training sessions and workshops for Sales and Go-to-Market staff

Document and communicate proposed architectures to implementation teams

Interface with product teams to provide feedback on improving product quality and capabilities

Provide thought leadership through industry events, panels, blog posts, white papers, and case studies
Technical Skills & Attributes:

Professional cloud certification (AWS Solutions Architect Professional) required

Experience in fast-paced sales environments
-
Hands-on experience with AWS migrations and deployments

Knowledge of Azure, Google Cloud, and traditional datacenter infrastructure

Understanding of IaaS, PaaS, SaaS platforms (e.g., EC2, RDS)

Familiarity with containerization and virtualization technologies (Kubernetes, Docker, EKS, ECS)

Understanding of Infrastructure-as-Code tools (Puppet, Ansible, CloudFormation, Terraform)

Knowledge of disaster recovery and data protection principles

Awareness of regulatory compliance frameworks (PCI, HIPAA, GDPR)

Familiarity with relational and non-relational databases (MySQL, Oracle, MS SQL Server, NoSQL)
Minimum Qualifications:

BA/BS with 6+ years of experience, MS with 4+ years, Ph.D with 1+ year, or 10+ years of experience without a degree

Professional-level public cloud certification (AWS, Azure, Google)

Experience working with a sales team

Strong presentation, written, and verbal communication skills

Strong analytical and problem-solving ability

Comfortable communicating across internal organizations

Public speaking experience is a plus

Fluency in English required
Compensation:
-
Base salary: $151,400 – $227,200, depending on location and experience
-
Annual incentive/commission target: $52,800
