Location: Greater Dortmund (Hybrid – 3 days onsite)
Salary: Up to €70,000
The Opportunity
We\'re supporting a leading international organisation in the search for an experienced Active Directory Engineer to join a highly specialised enterprise infrastructure team.
This is an opportunity to work within a large-scale Microsoft environment supporting 20,000–30,000 users, where you\'ll play a key role in maintaining, securing and modernising the organisation\'s core identity infrastructure.
You\'ll collaborate closely with Cloud, Infrastructure, Security and Workplace teams, helping to deliver automation, improve security and ensure a stable, scalable Directory Services environment.
Responsibilities
- Administer and continuously improve the enterprise Active Directory environment.
- Manage and optimise Group Policy Objects (GPO).
- Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts to automate administrative tasks and identity processes.
- Support and enhance Hybrid Identity environments using Microsoft Entra ID.
- Administer core infrastructure services including Windows Server, DNS and DHCP.
- Contribute to infrastructure projects, migrations and ongoing platform improvements.
- Work closely with Infrastructure, Cloud and Security teams to deliver reliable identity services.
- Ensure the environment remains secure, stable and aligned with best practices.
What We\'re Looking For
- Minimum 3 years\' experience within Microsoft Infrastructure or Directory Services
- Strong hands-on experience with:
- Active Directory
- Group Policy (GPO)
- PowerShell scripting and automation
- Windows Server
- DNS & DHCP
- Microsoft Entra ID / Hybrid Identity
- Good understanding of Identity & Access Management principles.
- Experience working within enterprise infrastructure environments.
- Fluent German and English.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to continuous improvement.
