Energize Robotics is partnered with a fast-growing robotics company on a mission to automate repetitive tasks within the multi-trillion-dollar infrastructure construction industry. Our client is seeking a Systems Integration Engineer to lead the hardware and software integration of subsystems including microcontrollers (MCUs), sensors, and communication modules
Their innovative technology in robotics and autonomous navigation is transforming the way large-scale projects are delivered, making them more precise, efficient, and cost-effective.
With over 100 robots already deployed across construction sites worldwide, they are pioneering the next generation of autonomous layout tools used in solar, civil, land surveying, road striping, and general contracting.

In this role as Systems Integration Engineer, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop, test, and optimize cutting-edge autonomous systems.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Lead integration of hardware and software components for autonomous robotic systems.
- Develop, configure, and optimize firmware and drivers for MCUs and sensors (IMU, LiDAR, GPS, cameras, etc.).
- Design and execute system-level tests to validate integration and performance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to sensor fusion, communication, and control systems.
- Ensure accurate data acquisition, processing, and communication across devices.
- Document integration processes, test plans, and results.
Your Requirements for the position
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Robotics, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in hardware/software integration for robotics or embedded systems.
- Proficiency in C/C++ and Python.
- Hands-on experience with MCUs, peripherals, and sensor integration (IMUs, cameras, LiDAR, GPS).
- Familiarity with communication protocols: SPI, I2C, UART, CAN, Ethernet, wireless.
- Proficiency with development tools (Git, JIRA) and debugging tools (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers).
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to collaborate in a dynamic environment.
Your Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in autonomous vehicles or industrial robotics.
- Experience with ROS and sensor fusion techniques.
- Knowledge of calibration and synchronization of multi-sensor systems.
