The Opportunity

A major international technology organisation is looking for a Senior Microsoft Business Process Automation & AI Consultant to help customers transform and automate their business processes using the latest Microsoft cloud and AI technologies.

This is not simply a Power Platform development role.

The focus is on understanding how a customer\'s business operates, identifying opportunities for automation and AI, and translating those requirements into cross-solution Microsoft architectures.

You will work across technologies including Power Platform, Copilot, AI, Azure and Business Applications, selecting and combining the right technologies based on the customer\'s actual business requirements.

The position is particularly suited to a senior Microsoft consultant or architect who enjoys operating between business consulting and technology.

Your Responsibilities

• Work with customers to understand their existing business processes, workflows and challenges.

• Identify processes and individual tasks that can be automated, optimised or supported by AI.

• Translate business requirements into technical requirements and solution concepts.

• Advise customers on where AI can realistically replace or automate manual activities.

• Design cross-solution approaches using the wider Microsoft ecosystem.

• Determine which combination of Microsoft technologies is appropriate for each business challenge.

• Lead customer workshops and requirements discussions.

• Communicate technical possibilities clearly to business stakeholders.

• Design and shape solutions rather than focusing purely on implementation.

• Guide technical teams during the implementation and deployment of solutions.

• Work on larger and more complex automation and digital transformation projects.

• Support partners and resellers with customer requirements where additional specialist expertise is required.

You are not expected to be the deepest technical specialist in every individual technology.

More important is the ability to understand a customer\'s business problem and determine how different Microsoft technologies can be combined to solve it.

Your Profile

We are looking for an experienced Microsoft consultant or solution architect who combines business-process understanding with strong Microsoft technology knowledge.

A Power Platform Architect could be an excellent fit, provided your experience extends beyond simply designing Power Apps and Power Automate solutions.

You should be comfortable discussing the customer\'s business processes first and the technology second.

What We\'re Looking For

• Senior-level Microsoft consulting or solution architecture experience.

• Strong understanding of business process automation.

• Experience translating business requirements into technical solutions.

• Customer-facing consulting and workshop experience.

• Knowledge of Microsoft Power Platform and the wider Business Applications ecosystem.

• Understanding of how AI and Copilot can be applied to business processes.

• Ability to work across multiple Microsoft technologies rather than remaining within a single product.

• Strong requirements-gathering and stakeholder-management skills.

• Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Strong problem-solving and consultative skills.

• Professional/fluent German.

• Professional English.

Experience within Microsoft or a major Microsoft partner/consultancy would be particularly relevant.

You will therefore act as a senior consultative and solution resource, helping turn customer requirements into practical, deliverable solutions.

Working Model

The position is Germany-based with a remote / virtual working model.

You will work within an international and distributed technology organisation while primarily supporting the German market.

Travel is expected to be approximately 10–25%, depending on customer and project requirements.
