Our IT Environment

We are actively driving an agile transformation within our IT organisation:

• Work across multiple Scrum teams following the SAFe framework

• Structured Scrum processes including sprints, sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives

• Focus on the agile implementation of SAP S/4HANA and the continued expansion of cloud architecture

Key Responsibilities

• Take responsibility for IT processes within the procurement operations of a nationwide retail business – from sales forecasting to goods procurement – together with your team.

• Advise business departments and IT product teams on the processes under your responsibility.

• Design and optimise procurement processes and implement solutions through SAP customising or collaboration with developers.

• Ensure seamless integration between SAP F&R, UDF, SAP MM and custom applications built on SAP BTP within an S/4HANA environment.

• Focus areas include:

  • Purchase requisitions

  • Purchase order release processes

  • Supplier integration via EDI / IDoc

  • Purchase price calculation schemes

  • Interfaces with logistics, inventory management, and customer order processes

• Ensure stable system operations under the DevOps model, including handling incidents such as IDoc errors or posting failures.

• Work closely with business stakeholders and cross-functional agile teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

Requirements

• Completed vocational training in IT or a degree in Computer Science or a related field.

• Strong experience in replenishment and procurement processes, ideally within a retail environment.

• Practical experience with SAP standard processes and customising in SAP MM, particularly:

  • Purchase requisitions

  • Purchase orders

  • Pricing / costing schemes

• Experience with SAP S/4HANA or participation in a transformation project is advantageous.

• Strong knowledge of IDoc processing, EDI integration, and message control in procurement, logistics, and inventory management contexts.

• High standards for quality assurance including structured testing documentation and execution.

• Fluent German (written and spoken) to collaborate effectively with teams and business stakeholders.
