SAP Materials Management (MM) Consultant

Role Overview

An experienced SAP MM Consultant responsible for supporting and enhancing enterprise SAP solutions, with a focus on Materials Management (MM) and Material Requirements Planning (MRP). The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize procurement and supply chain processes, implement system improvements, and provide expert support across the SAP landscape.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain functional specifications for SAP MM and MRP solutions.
• Configure and enhance SAP MM functionality, including system customization to meet evolving business requirements.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across integrated SAP modules, including Sales and Distribution (SD), Financial Accounting (FI), and Electronic Data Interchange (EDI), to ensure seamless end-to-end business processes.
• Analyse, design, and optimize Procure-to-Pay (P2P) processes within an enterprise SAP environment.
• Lead the design and implementation of new business processes and technology solutions to improve operational efficiency.
• Provide second- and third-line functional support for SAP MM, resolving complex issues and ensuring system stability.
• Participate in SAP implementation, migration, and continuous improvement initiatives across international business environments.

Skills and Experience

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Information Technology, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
• Strong experience working with SAP MM and MRP, including extensive configuration and customization expertise.
• Proven ability to design and implement functional SAP MM solutions aligned with business requirements.
• Experience delivering end-to-end SAP implementations, system migrations, and procurement transformation projects.
• Knowledge of integrated SAP processes across procurement, sales, finance, and supply chain functions.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively across technical and business teams.
• Professional proficiency in both German and English.
