We are currently seeking an experienced SAP HCM Payroll Project Manager to join a major payroll transformation programme for a well-established international organisation.
This is an excellent opportunity to take ownership of a live SAP payroll implementation that is currently progressing through the testing and deployment phases. The programme has strong stakeholder engagement, an experienced delivery team already in place, and requires a confident project manager to ensure a successful go-live.

We are currently seeking an experienced SAP HCM Payroll Project Manager to join a major payroll transformation programme for a well-established international organisation.

The programme has strong stakeholder engagement, an experienced delivery team already in place, and requires a confident project manager to ensure a successful go-live.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead an ongoing SAP HCM Payroll implementation project.
- Act as the primary point of contact for customer-facing project communications.
- Manage project governance, planning, risks, milestones and stakeholder expectations.
- Coordinate internal payroll, integration and technical consultants.
- Facilitate workshops and project meetings in German.
- Drive project timelines and priorities through testing, deployment and go-live.
- Maintain strong customer relationships and provide executive-level project updates.
Required Skills & Experience
- Minimum 5 years\' experience managing SAP HCM Payroll implementation projects.
- Proven track record delivering payroll transformation programmes in enterprise environments.
- Fluent German and English communication skills.
- Strong stakeholder and customer management capabilities.
- Experience managing geographically distributed project teams.
- Excellent communication, prioritisation and organisational skills.
- Ability to quickly take ownership of an existing project and ensure delivery continuity.
Highly Desirable
- Experience working for payroll services or payroll technology providers.
- Familiarity with payroll outsourcing and managed payroll service models.
Contract Details
- Immediate start required.
- Initial contract running through project go-live, with further post-go-live support expected.
- Predominantly remote working.
- Limited travel within Germany may be required for key workshops and customer meetings.
- Long-term extension potential for successful consultants across multiple future projects.
