Energize SAP is supporting a large enterprise organization in Houston that is currently delivering a number of SAP finance transformation initiatives. As part of this program, they are looking to bring on an experienced SAP FI Consultant on a contract basis to support ongoing S4HANA and finance process improvement projects.
This is a Houston based consulting opportunity with a hybrid setup depending on project phase and stakeholder workshops. The consultant will work closely with finance leadership and the SAP team to support configuration, enhancements, and project delivery across the SAP Finance landscape.
Your Responsibilities
- Support SAP FI related initiatives across the existing SAP landscape and ongoing S4HANA programs
- Configure and enhance SAP Financial Accounting modules including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Asset Accounting
- Work with finance stakeholders to translate accounting and reporting requirements into SAP solutions
- Support finance transformation initiatives including process improvements, system enhancements, and integration work
- Assist with testing, system validation, and go live activities during project phases
- Work closely with SAP technical teams and other functional modules to support end to end finance processes
- Troubleshoot and resolve SAP FI related issues across finance operations
Your Requirements
- Strong hands on experience with SAP FI configuration and support
- Experience working within S4HANA finance environments or supporting S4 migration programs
- Solid understanding of core finance processes including GL, AP, AR, and Asset Accounting
- Experience supporting SAP implementations, upgrades, or finance transformation initiatives
- Ability to work directly with finance stakeholders and translate business requirements into system solutions
- Previous consulting or project based SAP experience is highly preferred
- Strong communication skills and ability to work across both business and technical teams
