The Opportunity
I’m working on a large SAP EWM rollout programme with a major US pharmaceutical manufacturer.
They are rolling out EWM across multiple sites in the US, so they are looking to bring in several experienced EWM consultants. There are around 8 positions available, covering both the technical and business sides of the programme.
The role is expected to be 12 months, working 5 days per week, with an ASAP start.
It is predominantly remote — around 90%, but there will be occasional travel to client sites, particularly around UAT and Go-Live. There could be travel to multiple sites across the US.
Technical EWM Consultant
For the technical positions, they are looking for people who have genuine hands-on SAP EWM configuration experience.
This isn\'t a role for someone who has only managed an EWM team or moved into a purely Solution Architect position. You need to be comfortable getting into the system and actually configuring EWM.
They\'re looking for around 8+ years of technical EWM experience, ideally with previous Team Lead or Solution Architect responsibility alongside strong hands-on delivery.
You\'ll be working as part of the implementation team across the different rollouts.
EWM Business Process / Business Analyst
There are also business-focused positions.
These people will sit between the IT team and the business and help translate the EWM solution into something the business can use.
Responsibilities will include:
What They\'re Looking For
The key thing is real EWM implementation experience.
They\'ve already seen a number of CVs, so they\'re testing candidates on their actual EWM knowledge rather than simply what\'s written on the CV.
The client is also looking for people who communicate well and are comfortable working directly with stakeholders.
Consultancy/implementation experience is required.
