SAP Basis Consultant

Energize is seeking a skilled SAP Basis Consultant to lead critical SAP operations, ensuring seamless system performance and reliability. Required Skills

• Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in SAP Basis administration
• Hands-on expertise with SAP Service Desk operations at both 1st and 2nd levels
• Proven ability to implement monitoring solutions manually and via SAP Solution Manager, including SAP Cloud ALM if applicable
• Strong knowledge in incident management across all levels (1st to 3rd) and vendor coordination
• Experience in installing, configuring, and operating SAP systems and non-SAP environments (Linux, Windows)
• Database administration skills for Oracle, MS SQL, HANA, and HANA Cockpit
• Proficiency in installing SAP notes, support packages, enhancement packages, and managing release strategies
• Ability to set up and manage system interfaces such as RFCs and perform system/client copies
• Skilled in backup, restore, recovery, scripting, and performing transport tasks
• Familiarity with print setup in SAP and system performance optimization
• Excellent documentation skills aligned with ITIL standards and internal process improvements
• Strong problem-solving skill set and ability to support technical troubleshooting

Nice to Have Skills

• Experience with deployment automation tools like Empiruis EPOS
• Knowledge of SAP performance tuning, traces, and system diagnostics
• Familiarity with archiving solutions using OpenText
• Understanding of certificate management and security protocols

Preferred Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• 3+ years of hands-on SAP Basis experience in a similar role, ideally within enterprise environments
• Relevant SAP certifications or training programs are a plus
