About the Role

A leading international organisation in the energy sector is expanding its internal SAP team and is looking for an experienced SAP Authorizations & Permissions Consultant. This is a fully remote inhouse position, supporting a modern SAP landscape across multiple business units and international locations.

You will play a key role in designing, implementing, and maintaining SAP authorization concepts, ensuring secure and compliant access across the organisation. This role offers long-term stability, a collaborative environment, and the opportunity to work with a global SAP team.

Key Responsibilities

• • Design, implement, and maintain SAP authorization and role concepts across the SAP landscape (ECC or S/4HANA depending on client).
  • Analyse business requirements and translate them into secure and scalable authorization solutions.
  • Manage user access, role assignments, and permission changes in line with internal security policies.
  • Conduct authorization troubleshooting, incident resolution, and root-cause analysis.
  • Support audits, compliance checks, and documentation of authorization processes.
  • Collaborate closely with functional and technical teams to ensure smooth integration of authorization concepts.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and security best practices.

Your Profile

• Several years of hands-on experience in SAP Authorizations / SAP Security / SAP Permissions.
• Strong knowledge of SAP role design, user administration, and authorization troubleshooting.
• Experience with one or more modules (e.g., FI, CO, MM, SD, PM, HR, BW) is beneficial.
• Familiarity with compliance frameworks (e.g., SoD, audit requirements) is an advantage.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment while collaborating with global teams.
• Strong communication skills and a proactive, solution-oriented mindset.
• Fluent English; additional languages are a plus.
