Project Manager
The Project Manager will be responsible for managing Paintshop project execution (planning, engineering, resources, contract, communication, and financial control) from receipt of PO through buy off and close out while ensuring project KPIs are met, including customer satisfaction.
Primary responsibilities will include: managing, directing, and leading project team members including but not limited to design engineering, process engineering, purchasing, manufacturing, installation engineering, and sub contractors. Managing projects with responsibility for profit, cash flow, on time delivery, and quality of supplied equipment. Developing schedule, resource plan, and procurement plan. Forecasting project financial performance. Managing project changes and protecting the company from financial risk. Ensuring clear communication within the internal team, suppliers, and customers. Cost management and cash flow accuracy for improved project profitability. Execution excellence through planning and control of resources (internal and external) for improved customer satisfaction and quality. Leading and managing project personnel, sub contractors, and support groups. Recognizing and resolving issues in a timely manner as they occur in the course of execution. Managing customer expectations and modes of operation to complete contract scope.
Ideal candidate will have the following experience and education: a bachelor\'s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent relevant experience. Minimum five years and project or program management experience in automotive, automation, manufacturing or robotics. Cost estimating and/or cost management experience. Experience with ERP systems.
Additional responsibilities include providing input on quoting and pre sale activity, special assignments associated with paintshop related business activity, and other duties as assigned
Required competencies: analytical, problem solving skills, with the ability to identify causes and offer potential solutions. Organizational skills to effectively and professionally organize and plan for many simultaneous and complex issues. Team player, able to successfully work in teams with colleagues in varying responsibilities and backgrounds, with personal initiative and the ability to effectively manage themselves in a somewhat unstructured environment. Project management skills, with the ability to take the lead to plan, organize, track, execute, and close out assigned projects. Demonstrated leadership capabilities, with the ability to lead, motivate, and engage individuals to perform at their best. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills including listening, presenting, and effective written and oral communication, along with the ability to use interpersonal and communication skills to effectively negotiate. Proven high level of competency in Windows and MS Office, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and other web based applications.
