We’re supporting a leading international company in their search for an IT Manufacturing Applications Specialist. In this role, you’ll be at the forefront of digital transformation within manufacturing, ensuring seamless data flows and driving continuous improvement across multiple production plants.

The Role

• Lead the rollout and daily operation of the Manufacturing Data Platform across several sites, ensuring system stability and performance.

• Translate operational needs into digital solutions, bridging production, engineering, and IT.

• Manage and optimize data flows between machines, MES, ERP systems, and the Manufacturing Data Platform using industrial protocols (MQTT, OPC-UA, AMQP).

• Design, document, and expand the Manufacturing Applications landscape, promoting best practices for data collection, storage (InfluxDB), and visualization (Grafana).

• Support digital transformation projects within Manufacturing & Quality, delivering training, documentation, and user support.

• Contribute to standardizing IT/OT architecture and developing scalable solutions for new data sources and users.

• Base location: Ninove, Haaltert, or Erpe-Mere (Belgium) with occasional travel (approx. 15%) to international sites.

Your Profile

• Degree in Industrial Automation, Computer Science, Engineering, Applied Statistics, or similar.

• Hands-on experience in IT/OT environments with platforms such as InfluxDB, MQTT/AMQP brokers, Grafana, and containerized deployments.

• Strong knowledge of industrial communication protocols (MQTT, AMQP, OPC-UA) and event-driven integration.

• Analytical, structured, and pragmatic problem solver with excellent communication skills.

• Fluent in Dutch and English, with flexibility to travel in Europe.
