Overview
We are currently supporting a well-established IT services and infrastructure organisation that is looking to strengthen its container platform team with an experienced Senior OpenShift Administrator.
This is an opportunity to join a highly skilled infrastructure team responsible for operating and developing enterprise-scale OpenShift environments supporting critical customer platforms across Germany.
The role offers a remote-first working model, exposure to large-scale Kubernetes environments, and the opportunity to mentor junior engineers while working alongside experienced platform specialists.
Your Responsibilities
- Administration and maintenance of Red Hat OpenShift environments
- Managing and supporting Kubernetes-based platforms
- Linux administration and troubleshooting
- Ensuring platform stability, availability, and performance
- Supporting highly available 24/7 environments
- Participation in an on-call support rota
- Mentoring and supporting junior team members
- Contributing to platform improvements and operational best practices
Your Profile
Essential Skills
- Strong experience with Red Hat OpenShift
- Solid Kubernetes administration experience
- Linux administration background
- Experience working within enterprise infrastructure environments
- Fluent German language skills
- EU citizenship
- Based in Germany
Experience
- Minimum 2–3 years of OpenShift/Kubernetes experience
- Ideally 5+ years of relevant experience
- Certifications are highly regarded
