Role Summary
Our client is seeking a results-driven Account Manager to engage prospective AWS customers and drive new business growth. In this role, you will build and nurture relationships with key decision-makers, collaborate closely with AWS sales teams, and position the organization as a trusted cloud solutions partner.
The ideal candidate will have experience in consultative selling, a strong understanding of AWS services, and the ability to identify opportunities for cloud transformation initiatives.
As part of a dynamic and collaborative team, you will play a pivotal role in expanding the company’s footprint within the AWS ecosystem and delivering innovative cloud solutions to its clients.
Due to the company’s team structure and collaboration needs, this role is open to candidates located in Boston.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development

Identify, qualify, and close new business opportunities within assigned territories or verticals.

Develop strategic account plans to achieve revenue targets and expand the company’s customer base.

Build productive relationships with AWS sales teams to encourage collaboration and drive mutual success.
Client Relationship Management

Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including C-level executives, within client organizations.

Serve as a trusted advisor by understanding each client’s challenges and aligning the company’s cloud solutions with their needs.

Deliver tailored presentations and proposals showcasing the organization’s expertise in AWS cloud transformation.
Solution Selling

Collaborate with technical teams and Solutions Architects to develop customized proposals for cloud migrations, modernization initiatives, and DevOps services.

Lead client discussions demonstrating the business value and ROI of AWS solutions.

Secure support and buy-in from technical and executive decision-makers.
Pipeline Management and Reporting

Maintain accurate records of leads, opportunities, and client interactions within HubSpot.

Provide regular forecasts, pipeline updates, and market insights to sales leadership.

Monitor progress toward sales targets and identify opportunities to upsell or cross-sell additional services.
Collaboration and Teamwork

Work closely with delivery teams to support successful project execution and high levels of customer satisfaction.

Collaborate with marketing teams on prospecting campaigns and demand-generation initiatives.

Share market insights and client feedback to strengthen the company’s sales strategies and service offerings.
Required Skills and Qualifications

Proven experience in sales or account management, ideally within a technology, cloud services, or consulting organization.

Strong understanding of AWS cloud services and how they can be used to solve business challenges.

Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, including the ability to engage C-level executives.

Experience managing complex sales cycles and navigating technical discussions with clients.

Familiarity with HubSpot or a comparable CRM platform for pipeline management and reporting.

A consultative sales approach focused on delivering tailored solutions and measurable value to clients.
Preferred Qualifications

AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner certification or equivalent knowledge of AWS services.

Experience working for or alongside an AWS Partner organization.

Familiarity with sales methodologies such as MEDDIC, Challenger, or Sandler.

An established network within the AWS ecosystem or broader cloud-computing industry.
