We are currently seeking an experienced SAP Basis Team Leader to join our client’s team. Position Overview:
As an SAP Basis Team Leader, you will be responsible for managing and guiding the SAP Basis team, overseeing the administration, support, and optimization of SAP systems. You will work closely with IT management, business stakeholders, and external partners to ensure the SAP environment is robust, secure, and aligned with the company’s strategic objectives.
Tasks:
- Team Leadership: Lead and mentor the SAP Basis team, providing guidance and support to ensure the effective administration and optimization of SAP systems.
- System Administration: Oversee the daily administration of SAP systems, including system monitoring, performance tuning, and ensuring system stability and security.
- Project Management: Manage SAP Basis-related projects, including system upgrades, migrations, and installations, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Incident Management: Coordinate the resolution of critical incidents and system issues, working with the team to provide timely and effective solutions.
- Performance Optimization: Implement and manage performance tuning and optimization strategies to ensure optimal system performance and efficiency.
- Security Management: Ensure SAP systems are secure, implementing and maintaining security measures, access controls, and compliance with industry standards.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other IT teams and business stakeholders to support system integration, application support, and project initiatives.
- Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of SAP system configurations, processes, and procedures to support knowledge sharing and system maintenance.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements within the SAP Basis landscape and implement solutions to enhance system performance and reliability.
Profile:
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Professional Experience: Extensive experience in SAP Basis administration, with a proven track record of managing SAP Basis teams and leading system support and optimization efforts.
- Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of SAP Basis technologies, including system installation, configuration, performance tuning, and security management.
- Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and team management skills, with experience in mentoring and guiding SAP Basis professionals.
- Project Management: Proven experience in managing SAP Basis projects, including upgrades, migrations, and installations.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on resolving complex technical issues and ensuring system stability.
- Communication Skills: Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with IT teams, business stakeholders, and external partners.
- Collaboration: Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
- Language Proficiency: Minimum German language skills at level B2 and fluent English.
