Location: Augsburg or Nuremberg

Salary: Up to €60,000 + On-call and overtime

We are seeking a Software Development Engineer to join a leading global provider of intelligent supply chain solutions.

Overview

As a Software Development Engineer, you will be responsible for participating in on-call duties in an international environment, managing service delivery for new and long-term existing customers, executing software support, collaborating on software projects, and providing service support for existing customers. Additionally, you will be involved in international project commissioning, software development for various systems, and processing change requests for existing customers.

Responsibilities

• Assume on-call duties in an international environment
• Manage service delivery for new and long-term existing customers
• Execute software support and document incoming service cases
• Collaborate on software projects (CS, MU, PS, IS)
• Undertake international project commissioning and after-go-live support
• Provide service support for existing customers (WCS, MFC)
• Develop software for WCS, MFC, and OFS systems (PTL, PbV)
• Process change requests for existing customers

Qualifications

• Experience with 24/7 on-call 2nd level support
• High level of service and customer orientation
• Knowledge in the automation environment and warehouse management systems
• Familiarity with the logistics IT environment
• Proficiency in written and spoken English
• Willingness to travel
• Experience with sophisticated software architectures
• Experience in Java software development (minimum 3 years of professional experience desirable)
• Confident handling of databases (Oracle)

Day-to-Day

In this role, you will be involved in on-call duties, collaborating on software projects, providing service support, and developing software for various systems. You will also be responsible for executing software support, documenting service cases, and processing change requests for existing customers.
