SAP SD Inhouse Consultant

We are seeking a skilled SAP SD Consultant to join our client’s in-house team. Position Overview:

As an SAP SD Consultant, you will be responsible for implementing, optimizing, and supporting SAP Sales and Distribution (SD) solutions tailored to the company’s business needs. You will work closely with sales teams, logistics, and IT stakeholders to ensure smooth integration of the SAP SD module into the broader SAP landscape, helping improve sales processes, customer satisfaction, and overall business efficiency.

Tasks:

• Solution Design and Implementation: Design, configure, and implement SAP SD solutions that cover key sales processes, including order management, pricing, billing, shipping, and logistics.
• Business Collaboration: Work closely with business stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements, ensuring SAP SD functionalities meet the company’s sales and distribution needs.
• Process Optimization: Continuously identify opportunities to streamline and improve sales and distribution processes, using SAP SD solutions to enhance efficiency and customer service.
• Customization and Configuration: Customize SAP SD functionalities to align with specific business processes, ensuring seamless integration with other SAP modules (MM, FI/CO, PP) and external systems.
• Support and Troubleshooting: Provide expert support to end-users, troubleshoot issues related to the SAP SD module, and ensure smooth operational performance.
• Training and Documentation: Develop user training sessions and create comprehensive system documentation to ensure business users understand how to utilize SAP SD functionalities effectively.
• Integration and Testing: Oversee the integration of SAP SD with other SAP and non-SAP systems, conducting tests to ensure data accuracy and process alignment across departments.
• Project Management: Lead or participate in SD-related projects, including system upgrades, new implementations, and rollouts, ensuring timely delivery and successful project outcomes.

Profile:

• Educational Background: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
• Professional Experience: Proven experience as an SAP SD Consultant, ideally within an industrial machinery or manufacturing environment, with a strong understanding of sales and distribution processes.
• Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of SAP SD configuration and customization, covering areas such as order-to-cash, pricing, billing, shipping, and integration with other SAP modules (MM, FI/CO, PP).
• Process Knowledge: Strong understanding of sales and distribution processes, logistics, and customer management within a manufacturing setting.
• Problem-Solving Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues and deliver practical SAP solutions.
• Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, IT stakeholders, and business users.
• Project Management: Experience in managing SAP SD projects, including system upgrades and implementations, ensuring timely and successful completion.
• Manufacturing Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with the industrial machinery manufacturing industry and how it integrates with SAP SD processes is a plus.
• Language Proficiency: Minimum German language skills at level B2 and fluent English.
