SAP SD Inhouse Consultant

We are currently seeking an experienced SAP SD Inhouse Consultant to join our client’s in-house team. Position Overview:

As an SAP SD Inhouse Consultant, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing SAP SD (Sales and Distribution) solutions that align with the company’s business needs. You will work closely with internal stakeholders and IT teams to ensure the smooth operation of sales processes, contributing to efficiency improvements and the successful management of sales operations in a fast-paced engineering setting.

Tasks:

• Solution Design: Design, configure, and implement SAP SD solutions that support the company’s sales processes, including order management, pricing, billing, shipping, and logistics.
• Business Collaboration: Collaborate with key business stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements, ensuring SAP SD functionalities align with the company’s sales and distribution objectives.
• Customization and Configuration: Configure and customize SAP SD modules to meet specific business needs, ensuring seamless integration with other SAP modules (MM, FI/CO) and third-party systems.
• Process Optimization: Continuously identify opportunities to improve sales and distribution processes, using SAP SD solutions to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve overall performance.
• Support and Troubleshooting: Provide expert-level support to end-users, troubleshoot and resolve any SAP SD-related issues, and ensure smooth operation of the system.
• Training and Documentation: Develop and deliver training sessions for users, ensuring they understand SAP SD functionalities and best practices, while maintaining detailed system documentation.
• Project Involvement: Lead and participate in SD-related projects, including system upgrades, new implementations, and rollouts, ensuring successful delivery on time and within scope.
• Integration and Testing: Oversee the integration of SAP SD with other SAP and non-SAP systems, ensuring robust data flow and process alignment across departments.

Profile:

• Educational Background: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
• Professional Experience: Proven experience as an SAP SD Consultant with in-depth knowledge of the SD module, ideally within a mechanical or industrial engineering environment.
• Technical Expertise: Expertise in configuring SAP SD functionalities, including pricing, order management, billing, shipping, and integration with other SAP modules such as MM and FI/CO.
• Process Knowledge: Strong understanding of sales and distribution processes within the mechanical engineering industry, including order-to-cash cycles, logistics, and customer management.
• Problem-Solving Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues and deliver practical SAP solutions.
• Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, IT staff, and business stakeholders.
• Project Management Skills: Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, delivering results on time and within budget.
• Language Proficiency: Minimum German language skills at level B2 and fluent English.
