Role description:
PM Masterdata management will be the architect and leading person for professionalizing the management of master data for materials and for assets. The role is responsible for determining the right Data Governance: Master data management involves establishing and enforcing clear rules and procedures regarding data entry, modification and use. This includes establishing responsibilities for managing data and implementing approval workflows for master data changes.
Attention will also be paid to data definition: This includes identifying the relevant data fields, their meanings and their interrelationships.
Master data management involves maintaining and improving data quality. This includes identifying and correcting duplicate or inconsistent data, ensuring valid values in data fields, and following standardized data conventions. This prevents inaccurations or misinterpretations when using the data.
In front, the role will also be responsible for data enrichment: filling in all relevant missing data
Training and Creating Awareness: It is essential to train and make employees aware of the importance of correct master data management. Users need to understand how to enter, modify, and review data to ensure data quality is maintained.
Set up and implement Data Monitoring and Maintenance: Master data management also includes ongoing data quality monitoring and performing regular checks and audits to ensure that the data remains accurate and meets the organization's requirements.

Required competences for the role :
- Managerial skills, people manager
- Project management: MDM projects require effective planning, coöcoordination, and execution. Project management skills help manage timelines, resources, and stakeholders.
- Team player, networker and in possession of strong communicative competences
- Can convince and motivate, strong interpersonal and coaching skills
- Data Governance: Insight into and experience in drafting and enforcing data governance policies, rules and processes to ensure data quality and management.
- Data Understanding: An in-depth understanding of different types of data and their meaning within the context of an organization. This includes understanding of data modeling, data classification, and taxonomies.
- Technical Skills: Familiarity with technologies and tools for data integration, data quality, data standardization and data migration. Knowledge of MDM software such as SAP, SAP Master Data Governance tools, MDM, or similar systems is a plus.
- Data quality and integrity: The ability to identify, solve, and prevent data quality problems. This includes skills in data profiling, data cleansing and setting data quality standards.
- Analytical Thinking: The ability to analyze complex data problems and design solutions that address both technical and business needs.
- Communication Skills: Good communication is vital to communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders. You need to be able to explain complex concepts to different target groups.
- Collaboration: MDM requires collaboration with a variety of teams, including IT, data analysts, business analysts, and users. Collaborative skills are essential to work effectively in an interdisciplinary environment.
- Critical Thinking: The ability to evaluate information, draw conclusions, identify problems, and come up with innovative solutions.
- Change management: MDM can bring about changes in business processes and culture. The ability to apply change management principles and overcome resistance is valuable.
- Understanding SAP master data and business processes, needs, and goals to align master data management with an organization's broader strategic agenda.
Necessary experience in the role
- Min 10 years of experience with master data management in SAP – MM and SAP – PM/EAM
- extensive experience in managing users and dealing with various stakeholders
