Position Overview:
As an SAP Interface Architect, you will be responsible for designing and managing the overall architecture of SAP interfaces and integrations. You will work closely with business leaders, IT teams, and external partners to ensure that SAP systems and applications are effectively integrated, enabling smooth data exchange and supporting the company's retail operations and strategic objectives.
Tasks:
- Architecture Design: Develop and maintain the overall architecture for SAP interfaces, ensuring that it supports business needs and integrates seamlessly with other systems.
- Integration Management: Oversee the design and implementation of SAP interfaces, including middleware solutions and APIs, to ensure efficient and accurate data exchange between SAP systems and external applications.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work with business stakeholders to understand integration requirements, challenges, and goals, aligning SAP interface solutions with business processes.
- Technical Leadership: Provide technical leadership on best practices for SAP integration, including data mapping, transformation, and connectivity between systems.
- Project Oversight: Lead the technical aspects of SAP interface projects, including planning, execution, and monitoring, ensuring that integration solutions are delivered on time and meet quality standards.
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks related to SAP interfaces and integration projects, developing strategies to mitigate them and ensuring the stability and security of data exchange processes.
- Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of interface designs, configurations, and technical specifications to support knowledge sharing and future enhancements.
- Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the SAP integration landscape, focusing on optimizing performance, scalability, and alignment with business needs.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with other IT teams and external partners to ensure cohesive integration solutions across the organization and resolve any integration issues that arise.
Profile:
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Professional Experience: Extensive experience as an SAP Interface Architect or in a similar role, with a strong track record in designing and managing complex SAP interfaces and integrations.
- Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of SAP integration technologies, including middleware solutions (e.g., SAP PI/PO, CPI), APIs, and data mapping techniques.
- Retail Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with retail industry processes and requirements, including supply chain management, inventory management, and customer data integration.
- Project Management Skills: Strong project management skills, with experience in leading SAP integration projects from concept to delivery.
- Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on addressing complex integration challenges and optimizing system performance.
- Communication Skills: Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with business stakeholders, IT teams, and external partners.
- Team Collaboration: Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
- Language Proficiency: Minimum German language skills at level B2 and fluent English.
