Energize SAP is searching for a SAP ABAP Developer on behalf of an energy utility company based in Cologne, Germany.
This company specialises in the generation, distribution, and supply of energy, including electricity, natural gas, heating, and cooling. Your Responsibilities
- Collaborate within a diverse, cross-functional team, applying agile methodologies to work autonomously and with accountability.
- Engage and interact effectively with professionals across departments, including sales, network operations, shared services, and backend SAP development.
- Assist business units in refining their processes and introducing innovative services through advanced IT solutions, all while integrating with SAP legacy systems.
- Manage the full life cycle of SAP development projects, encompassing technical design, coding, maintenance, ongoing improvements, and documentation, in a mixed SAP environment (both ECC and S/4 HANA), adhering to established standards.
- Stay current with evolving trends and technologies in SAP development.
- Define developer testing protocols and thoroughly document outcomes in an organized and transparent manner.
Your Qualifications
- Hold a degree in mathematics, (business) informatics, or a related field, or possess an equivalent professional qualification.
- Bring extensive, hands-on experience in SAP development, specifically with ABAP and ABAP-OO programming.
- Possess deep and well-rounded expertise in SAP applications, particularly within the SAP IS-U ecosystem, SAP Finance, or SAP Procurement domains.
- Skilled in designing, building, and testing sophisticated programs within ERP systems.
- Knowledgeable in planning and deploying contemporary software architectures that integrate with existing SAP legacy systems.
- Demonstrate a strong sense of responsibility and the ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively within a team setting.
- Have excellent communication skills, able to convey technical concepts clearly to domain experts and translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Eager to embrace and learn new technologies and working methods as needed.
- Proficient in both written and spoken German, with a solid command of English.
- Ideally, have expertise in specialized areas such as S/4 HANA Development, Fiori, CDS, Adobe Forms, or OData services within an SAP NetWeaver Gateway context.
- Preferably, possess hands-on project experience in migrating from ECC to S/4 HANA.
- Familiar with the SAP IS-U master data model and have process knowledge related to SAP IS-U, such as tariffing and billing.
