Job Description

As a Utilities Industry Expert, you will be instrumental in driving transformative change within the Utilities sector through our client engagements.

Your typical roles include shaping the functionalities and design of client IT systems, as well as

involvement in creation and execution of strategic roadmaps that seamlessly integrate technology with business imperatives.

This role requires a comprehensive understanding of the Utilities industry landscape, coupled with expertise in functional architecture and enterprise architecture principles, as well as the ability to collaborate effectively with delivery teams. We expect several projects to be linked to the MIG6 specification, so having strong knowledge in the MIG6 ecosystem and its business processes is a must.

Your Job

Your key responsibilities at our clients include:

• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and client representatives to understand business objectives, priorities, and challenges, and translate them into a fit-for-purpose design supported by existing and new technologies.
• Ability to apply enterprise architecture frameworks and methodologies to ensure that designs align with business and organizational goals, facilitating seamless integration and future scalability.
• Evaluate technology trends, industry trends, and best practices relevant to the Utilities sector, identifying opportunities for innovation and improvement.
• Work closely with delivery teams to ensure alignment between design concepts and implementation capabilities.
• Communicate priorities, milestones, and dependencies to internal and external stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
• Monitor progress, identifying risks and issues, and proactively implementing mitigation strategies.
• Continuously assess and refine designs based on feedback, changing business needs, and evolving market trends.
• Provide guidance to cross-functional teams involved in delivery, fostering a culture of collaboration and accountability.

Job Qualifications

• Demonstrated expertise in functional architecture with an understanding of enterprise architecture principles.
• Proven experience in the Utilities sector, and more specifically in business assessments and/or IT implementation projects related to MIG6/MIGDGO.
• Strong understanding of technology trends and their impact on Utilities industry trends.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing risks and issues.
• Experience working in a cross-functional environment, collaborating with diverse teams to achieve common goals.
• Perfectly fluent in English, and professional proficiency in both Dutch and French.
