The GCP Sales Engineer plays a crucial role in driving sales and revenue growth for the professional services company by leveraging their expertise in Google Cloud Platform. They are responsible for understanding customer needs, providing technical solutions, and effectively communicating the value of GCP products and services.
- Sales Support: Collaborate with the sales team to identify customer requirements and develop tailored solutions using GCP products and services.
- Technical Expertise: Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of GCP offerings, including infrastructure, data analytics, machine learning, and security, to address customer challenges and provide recommendations.
- Solution Design: Design and present technical proposals, including architecture diagrams, cost estimates, and implementation plans, to meet customer objectives and drive successful sales outcomes.
- Customer Engagement: Engage with customers through presentations, workshops, and demonstrations to showcase the benefits and capabilities of GCP solutions.
- Relationship Building: Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, partners, and internal teams, to drive customer satisfaction and loyalty.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, such as product management and engineering, to provide feedback on customer requirements and contribute to product enhancements.
- Market Awareness: Stay up-to-date with industry trends, competitor offerings, and emerging technologies related to cloud computing and GCP to effectively position the company's services.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field. Relevant certifications in GCP are highly desirable.
- Experience: in sales engineering, technical consulting, or a similar role, preferably within the cloud computing industry.
- GCP Expertise: Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform, including GCP products, services, and solutions.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey technical concepts and build rapport with customers.
