Job Title: Field Chief Technology Officer (Field CTO) - GCP Partner
Role Overview:
The Field CTO at our GCP Partner organization is a strategic technical leader responsible for driving the technical vision and guiding our customers in adopting and optimizing Google Cloud Platform services. This role combines technical expertise, customer engagement, and leadership to deliver value to their clients and strengthen our partnership with Google Cloud.
Key Responsibilities:
- Technical Leadership: Serve as the top technical authority within our organization, providing thought leadership and technical expertise in Google Cloud services, solutions, and emerging technologies.
- Customer Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with our customers, including C-level executives and technical stakeholders. Understand their business objectives, challenges, and technical requirements.
- Solution Architecture: Collaborate with customers to design and architect custom cloud solutions based on Google Cloud Platform services. Ensure that solutions align with best practices and industry standards.
- Strategic Planning: Contribute to the development of our organization's technical strategy and roadmap, aligning it with Google Cloud's objectives. Identify opportunities for growth and innovation.
- Sales Support: Partner closely with our sales and business development teams to support pre-sales activities. Deliver technical presentations, workshops, and proof-of-concept demonstrations to showcase the value of GCP.
- Technical Advocacy: Represent our organization and Google Cloud at industry events, conferences, and webinars. Publish technical content, case studies, and thought leadership pieces to enhance our reputation.
- Collaboration: Foster collaboration between our organization and Google Cloud teams, including product management, engineering, and customer support. Provide feedback to improve Google Cloud services based on customer insights.
Qualifications:
- Technical Expertise: Extensive knowledge of Google Cloud Platform services, architectures, and cloud-native technologies. Strong understanding of cloud security, networking, and compliance.
- Leadership Skills: Proven leadership experience with the ability to influence technical teams and customers. Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Customer Focus: A customer-centric mindset with a deep understanding of customer needs and the ability to translate them into effective technical solutions.
- Strategic Thinking: Ability to think strategically, identify market trends, and develop strategies that drive customer success and business growth.
- Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with the cloud computing industry, including competitors, market dynamics, and emerging technologies.
- Certifications: Relevant Google Cloud certifications are a plus.
- Experience: Several years of experience in technical leadership roles, preferably within a GCP Partner organization or a similar cloud consulting firm.
