Job Title: GCP Architect Consultant - GCP Partner
Role Overview:
The GCP Architect Consultant at a GCP Partner organization is a key technical resource responsible for delivering exceptional cloud solutions to their clients. This role combines technical expertise, client engagement, and solution design to ensure the successful adoption and utilization of Google Cloud Platform services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Solution Design: Collaborate with clients to understand their business objectives and technical requirements. Design customized, scalable, and cost-effective cloud solutions using Google Cloud services and technologies.
- Technical Expertise: Maintain in-depth knowledge of GCP services, infrastructure, and best practices. Stay current with emerging cloud technologies and industry trends.
- Implementation: Lead or assist in the implementation of cloud solutions, ensuring that they meet the defined architecture and security standards. Troubleshoot technical issues and optimize cloud environments for performance and cost efficiency.
- Client Engagement: Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, guiding them through their cloud journey. Communicate technical concepts clearly and effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Best Practices: Promote and enforce best practices in cloud architecture, security, and governance. Ensure that solutions align with industry standards and compliance requirements.
- Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, deployment guides, and best practice documents.
- Collaboration: Work closely with our sales and business development teams to support pre-sales activities, including technical presentations, proposal development, and scoping of projects.
- Training and Knowledge Sharing: Train and mentor junior consultants and team members. Contribute to knowledge sharing within the organization.
Qualifications:
- GCP Expertise: Strong proficiency in Google Cloud Platform services, including Compute Engine, Kubernetes Engine, BigQuery, Cloud Storage, and networking components. Google Cloud certifications (e.g., Professional Cloud Architect) are a plus.
- Architecture Experience: Proven experience in designing and implementing complex cloud architectures. Familiarity with cloud-native design principles and microservices is essential.
- Client-Focused: A customer-centric mindset with the ability to understand and translate client needs into effective technical solutions.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to convey technical concepts clearly and concisely to diverse audiences.
- Problem Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
- Team Collaboration: Ability to work effectively in a team, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and mentor junior consultants.
- Experience: Several years of experience in cloud architecture and consulting roles, preferably within a GCP Partner organization or a similar cloud consulting firm.
