Freelance SAP EWM S/4HANA Consultant Opportunity!

I am supporting one of our key customers in Germany for an SAP EWM Consultant.

You will join a global pharma project team working on an S/4HANA transformation program from ECC.

This is a long term project with the project running until 2030, since there are several roll-outs that need to be performed. The program involves a multi-year rollout across global sites, with the project running until 2030.

Responsibilities:

• Drive SAP EWM-related activities as part of an S/4HANA transformation from ECC.
• Design and implement warehouse processes, including inbound/outbound, storage, and picking strategies.
• Collaborate on the integration of EWM with adjacent modules such as QM, MM, and TM.
• Analyse business requirements and translate them into detailed EWM functional specifications.
• Ensure system documentation, testing, and training meet pharmaceutical industry standards (GxP).
• Support data migration and validation for warehouse-related master and transactional data.

Skills and Experience:

• Extensive hands-on experience with SAP EWM (embedded in S/4HANA) in complex global environments.
• Proven experience with S/4HANA implementations or conversions.
• Knowledge of integration between EWM and QM, MM, SD, or other logistics modules.
• Experience working in the pharmaceutical or other regulated industries
• Strong communication skills with the ability to operate in a remote, international team.
• Functional expertise in warehouse processes, EWM master data, and handling unit management.

Contract Details:

• Start date: ASAP
• Contract length: 6 months initial contract with extensions (Project runs until 2030)
• Location: Dusseldorf / Cologne – Only required onsite Monday -Thursday 1 time per month 3 weeks of the month are remote
• Travel: Paid travel expenses
• Language: English
• Rate: Negotiable based on experience
